Our approach

Lean, applied practically

Teddy holds Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office credentials from the University of Michigan and spent years applying them at Harley-Davidson: supporting engineering changes and manufacturing process improvements, participating in Lean assessments of domestic manufacturing facilities, and facilitating structured problem-solving with supervisors and frontline employees.

The same principles work in offices, service organizations, and small businesses. The goal is never more paperwork. It is a process your people understand, can follow every day, and can improve themselves.

Even a well-designed process will fail without employee understanding, leadership support, and clear accountability. That is why process work at DDG always connects to the people who do the work and the leaders who support it.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Something else on your mind? Ask Teddy directly.

Is Lean process improvement only for manufacturers?

No. Teddy's Lean training covers both Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office. The same tools (process mapping, standardized work, visual management, root cause analysis) improve offices, service operations, and small businesses.

What does a process improvement engagement look like?

It starts with observing how the work is actually done. From there DDG maps the process, identifies waste and root causes, builds a better standard with the people who do the work, trains to it, and puts follow-up routines in place so the gains hold.

What is the difference between organizational development and process improvement?

Process improvement focuses on how the work flows. Organizational development focuses on leadership, roles, culture, and management systems. DDG works on both, because each one fails without the other.

Let’s build an organization that can sustain its own success.

The goal is not to make clients dependent on a consultant. It is to develop the people and systems that allow organizations to succeed long after the engagement ends.
